Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir bottle

2009 Vintage

Sweet perfumy red fruits on the nose. Powerful initial palate feel, savoury and structural, but with red and black cherry fruit peeping through a curtain of fine-grained tannins. The structure is front and centre at this early stage. Overall though, perhaps a slightly softer style than the 2008 wine. Quite long, with a fresh succulent finish.

2008 Vintage

Complex nose of cigarbox, salami and smoky oak, along with dark berry fruits. Big palate, full and rounded. Silky tannins come in early but are balanced with a mix of sweet fruit and savoury characters. Powerful flavour profile and lingering finish. Still a tight and restrained wine, will soften and develop over many years.
