Vibrant, deep ruby red colour. Lovely sweet/sour blackcurrant nose; complex with hints of dusty, leafy characters and spicy oak. The palate is full and rounded with good length. Good depth of fruit with blackcurrant/blackberry flavours evident at this stage of the wine’s life. Fine, powdery tannins are well integrated to give good line and length. The structure and moderately grippy finish suggest an easy match with more strongly flavoured meat dishes.
